Grant success

Over the winter a lot of our time was spent planning for 2024. To enable us to develop and grow grant funding plays an important part in that work. When we set up we enrolled on the Funding for All Mentoring programme and for the past year have had the support of a mentor to help us plan and submit our grant applications. With the partnership now coming to an end it was a great pleasure to advise them in our final communication that we had been successful in two applications that they had provided us with support on.

The first grant was from Children In Need's Pudsey Grant. This grant will provide us with an income to cover administration costs for the coming year. This will not only ensure that we meet our statutory duties such as governance and accounts but also enable us to spread the word about the work that we do and develop new partnerships.

The second grant from the National Lottery Awards for All fund provides us with funds towards the purchase and signwriting of a van to enable us to carry more equipment and resources to each session to ensure that those attending are given a wide range of skills.

In addition to these funds we have also been successful in grant from the Angling Trust Get Fishing Fund which will enable us to continue to deliver our Get Into Fishing sessions.
