Jason was referred to us by Live Well Kent and Medway as he was experiencing low self confidence and was becoming socially isolated. He attended the first session with his sister, who you will meet later on. Both siblings had previously done some fishing but did not have the confidence to go anymore. Through the sessions Jason developed new skills of fishing with a whip and a feeder rod and caught some lovely fish. Jason quickly fitted in to the group and regularly contributed to discussions and asking questions about how to improve his fishing. During the programme Jason could be found at Claygate Lakes at the weekend practicing what he had learned. He said that he felt safe at the lakes as it was becoming a familiar location for him. He continues to fish now the programme has finished and is planning to meet up with other participants on the bank.
