In September 2024, David Cassar, Live Well Kent and Medway's Senior Link Worker for West Kent, visited our Fish and Chat session at Hadlow College, to carry out and observation of our work. Areas covered within this work included:

  • Preparation, Planning and Organisation

  • Location and Environment

  • Setting the Scene

  • Delivery Methods and Style

  • Subject Knowledge and Content

  • Client Engagement

  • Use of Technology

  • Quality of Learning Materials

  • Client Understanding

  • Assessment of Learning

  • Management of Clients

  • Safeguarding and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

We are proud to announce that we achieved an overall score of 98% resulting in a rating of Outstanding.

David Cassar concluded:

'Fantastic energy from Helen and David, they genuinely support their clients

through their own lived experience, personal and professionally. They are both

fully invested and engaging, inspiring the people around them to make a

change in their life, meet new people and instil a sense of optimism.

Our Fish and Chat sessions are part of our core delivery programmes operating in West Kent, Medway and Swale. Feedback such as this only drives us on to ensure that the programmes expand and develop this provision. We are hoping, over the next year, to start sessions within Essex and are currently in discussions with local NHS partners and identifying funding. Watch this space!
